ARCHITECTS
In the world of construction and building permit processing, architectural services or
planning consulting services do more than just create building designs that look
beautiful. To produce buildings that are safe, compliant with regulations, and
comfortable to use, the planning process must involve collaboration among three key
areas of expertise: Architecture, Structural Engineering, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical,
Plumbing).
These three design documents form a single technical package that must be submitted
when you processing management for a Building Permit PBG ((Building Approval)
through the SIMBG system.
1.Architecture(Concept,Function,andAesthetics)
Architects focus on spatial design, visual aesthetics, circulation, building function, and
compliance with local zoning regulations. Architects serve as team leaders who
translate the client’s needs into visual form.
2.StructuralEngineering(BuildingStrengthandSafety)
Structural Engineers are responsible for calculating a building’s structural strength to
ensure it can withstand various loads, ranging from the building’s own weight, live load
(people/goods inside), to lateral loads such as wind and earthquake shocks.
3.MEP(UtilitiesandLivingComfort)
MEP stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing. If architecture is the skin or face
and structure is the bones or muscles, then MEP is the nervous system, digestive
system, and circulatory system of a building. Without MEP, a building is merely an
empty concrete box that cannot be inhabited.
KeyFocus: Electrical installation safety, smooth distribution of clean water, wastewater
management, and building fire protection systems
