ESTABLISHMENT OF A CV
In the context of the Indonesian business world, “CV” stands for Commanditaire
Vennootschap (Limited Partnership). A CV is a business entity—not a legal
entity—established by two or more people, in which some members have unlimited
liability (general partners) and others have limited liability (limited partners).
Although there is currently a trend toward sole proprietorships, limited liability
companies (LLCs) remain the preferred choice for micro, small, and medium-sized
enterprises (MSMEs) seeking to form formal partnerships, due to their tax structure,
which tends to be simpler when it comes to profit distribution (prive).
