PBG PERMIT
A Building Permit (PBG) is a permit issued by the local government (or the central
government for special buildings) to building owners to construct new buildings, alter,
expand, reduce, and/or maintain buildings in accordance with applicable technical
standards.
PBG is the latest regulation that officially replaces the IMB (Building Construction
Permit) system following the enactment of Law No. 11 of 2020 on Job Creation and
Government Regulation (PP) No. 16 of 2021.
The Functions and Importance of the PBG
Obtaining a PBG is not merely a matter of fulfilling legal obligations or administrative
formalities, but rather a crucial tool for:
1. EnsuringSafetyandComfort
Ensuring that building structures are safe from the
risks of structural failure, fire, and natural disasters (such as earthquakes).
2.AssetLegality
Serving as proof that the building was legally constructed on legally
owned land, which is crucial for increasing investment value or serving as collateral for
bank loans.
3.Compliance with Spatial Planning
Ensuring that development is in accordance with
the local Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) or Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR)
