SLF PERMIT
SLF or Certificate of Functional Suitability is a certificate issued by the regional
government (or central government for special function buildings) to state that a
building has been completed and has met the technical feasibility requirements
according to its function.
While a PBG (Building Permit) is a permit that must be obtained before construction
begins, SLF is a mandatory document that must be obtained after construction is
complete and before the building is officially put into use or occupied.
WhyIs the SLF So Important?
The SLF is not merely a piece of administrative paperwork, but a legal and technical
guarantee that serves a crucial function:
1.Life Safety
Ensuring that the building structure is sturdy, that fire protection systems
(hydrants, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors) are operational, and that the electrical
system is safe from the risk of short circuits.
2.Legal Operational Requirements For businesses
the SLF is a mandatory document required to obtain
various ongoing operational permits, such as industrial and tourism
permits, as well as permits for hotel or hospital operations.
3. Financial Security & Banking
Banks generally require an SLF as a condition for
disbursing property-secured loans or large-scale corporate financing.
4. Legal Protection
Protects building owners or managers from legal claims in the
event of structural failure or incidents within the building, as the building has been
certified as safe by a team of experts.
