SOIL TEST(SONDIR)
The Soil Test (Sondir) is an absolute (mandatory) technical requirement requested by
the PUPR Office when you process PBG (Building Approval) through the SIMBG system,
especially for multi-storey buildings or buildings with heavy structural loads.
The government requires these test results in the PBG technical documents to control
two main aspects:
1.Structural Safety:To prevent the risk of the building tilting, hairline cracks in the walls,
or subsidence due to foundation failure (because the soil beneath it turns out to be soft
or muddy).
2.Cost Efficiency(BillofQuantities): Serving as the basis for contractors or structural
engineers to determine the appropriate type of foundation. Without a soil test, engineers
would be guessing, which risks leading to structural (over-design) or even less strong
(under-design).

MBG-ApprovedReports
To ensure your soil test report passes verification in SIMBG, the submitted documents
must not be merely handwritten notes. The technical agency requires:
1.SNIStandard: Testing must follow the procedures outlined in SNI 2827:2008 (field
penetration test using a cone penetrometer).
2.ConeResistanceGraph (qc): You must include a graph showing the relationship
between soil depth and cone resistance values, as well as the total friction ratio.
3. Legality of Service Providers: The report must be signed by a soil laboratory
technician or a geotechnical engineer holding official certification (SKA/SKK
Geotechnical Engineer) or employed by a consulting firm with a Business Identification
Number (NIB) in the relevant field.
4. Number of Points: A minimum of 2 points is required for standard buildings to assess the consistency of soil layers within the building site area. If the building area is
very large, the number of borehole points should be adjusted according to the extent of
the structure
